As production grew, Symbiate needed more than accounting. The accounting system had no batch tracking for raw materials, packing materials or finished goods. Stock moved between the store, the production floor and the finished-goods area by hand, all in one warehouse, and nobody could see the true cost of a production run.
The accounting system had no batch tracking. During migration we set up batches for every raw material, packing material and finished good — with opening stock, expiry and batch history carried over cleanly.
Stock now moves on its own: from the store to the production floor when a job starts, and from the production floor to the FG warehouse when output is recorded.
Four dedicated warehouses — RM, PM, Production and FG — so the team always knows what stock is where, and what stage it's in.
